Pengasas: Imran Ahmad dari Sri Andalas pada tahun 1992 hingga 1994. Ismail Abdul Karim dari Kesuma Dewa pada tahun 1994 hingga 1999.
OUR HISTORY
We were form since 1992 from Jin Tai Secondary School. Imran Ahmad from Sri Andalas was the founder of the team. Our first performance was during Teacher’s Day celebration in 1992 which guided by Imran Ahmad. There were only 12 to 14 team members during that period of time. There on, we were given an opportunity to incorporate the team to River Valley Community Centre in Dec’92. In 1994, we move over to Yuhua Community Centre and receive another hand of guidance from Ismail Abdul Karim from Kesuma Dewa. There on, we were part of Dewa family (Kesuma Dewa, Putera Dewa, Merak Merah & Dewi Dang Sari). We made a recording album “Dikir Temasek I & Dikir Temasek II” together with Srikandi Ratnawidjnja, Kelana Purba and Kesuma Dewa in 1995. Merak Merah move on independently in 1998 and incorporate the team to Hong Kah East Community Centre. I n 2001, We are still standing strong on our own feet and we move on to Ayer Rajah CC. After 3 year of MISSING IN ACTION, as most of the gerls were busy building up families, making babies hehehe.. Jangan salah anggap most of Merak Merah gerls ne mak budak & bini orang , Now in year 2008, Merak Merah came back to life and still standing strong. Thanks to Siti Norbaya & Nurfazilah they are our inspiration. "MERAK MERAH.. BAK MATI HIDUP SEMULA"   |

July-Nov is a very running-around period for me. For the show dis sat, the timing shud b ok but i dunno if i can make it for training. dats the prob. i'm also gonna pass the invite to play wit other group for perdana/help other grp cos if i were to get involved, i wont be able to breathe dis month. im already feeling choked right now. sesak nafasssss...i wish i can go holiday!! yah rite.
